AngloGold expects decision on Colombia mine in 30 working days

South African mining company AngloGold Ashanti said that it expects the decision of the Colombian authorities regarding the resumption of its delayed La Cosca project in 30 working days.

Environmental officials stopped the operations of the company a year ago, saying that the mining operations contributed to the degradation of Colombia's forests.

Leaders in the mining industry, meanwhile, criticized the government for its alleged ambigous signals that it sends to the industry during times of uncertainty.
